Check the format of a Mexican RFC
This tool checks the structure of the key. To find out whether an RFC is registered, use the official SAT service.
What the tool checks
It checks the 13-character format for individuals or 12-character format for companies, the date included in the key and its check digit. It recognises the two generic RFCs as exceptions.
What a successful result means
It means the key passes these mathematical checks. It does not confirm identity, name, tax address, economic activity or registration in the taxpayer registry.
